The Flora Mattress is a soft, luxuriously composed sleep surface that draws its character from the Latin word for flower, expressing the same sense of natural refinement and sensory pleasure in its choice of materials. Part of DeRucci’s 0769 series, the Flora positions itself firmly at the premium end of the mattress range, combining rare natural fibres with German-engineered spring technology and a comprehensive hygiene protection system to deliver a sleep experience defined by cloud-like pressure relief and considered, long-lasting quality. The comfort layers open with a cooling knitted fabric cover whose mesh structure rapidly absorbs and disperses moisture to maintain a fresh and temperature-balanced sleep surface throughout the night. Beneath the cover, baby alpaca wool forms the primary inner fill, a rare and exceptional natural fibre prized for its hollow-core thermal structure that provides outstanding warmth in cooler conditions and remains breathable and cool in summer.

Baby alpaca fibres are significantly finer and softer than standard wool, carry a natural silken lustre, and are many times more abrasion-resistant than conventional wool, meaning the Flora retains its loft, feel and performance across years of use without pilling, distortion or degradation. A five-sided hygiene protection system wraps both the quilted layers and all four surrounding panels of the mattress in Swiss SANITIZED-treated three-proof foam, independently verified to over 99% bacterial inhibition, over 98% dust mite repellency, and a mould prevention rating of Grade 0, providing comprehensive protection for sensitive skin from every direction. The support core uses exclusively imported AGRO German steel-wire pocket springs, for which DeRUCCI holds sole distribution rights in mainland China. AGRO springs are produced from iron ore smelted in Germany to a military-grade steel specification that achieves both firmness and resilience, a combination that conventional spring steel cannot deliver.

The springs pass a 300,000-cycle compression fatigue test with a recovery rate of 98.9%, and a proprietary three-point connection system between individual spring pockets reduces collision noise between adjacent springs, producing a quieter and more responsive surface than standard fully-sewn pocket spring designs. The Flora is also engineered for compatibility with DeRUCCI smart adjustable bases, with the spring network and fish-bone high-density foam border construction designed to flex and return to shape through repeated motorised adjustment cycles.
